2013. aasta üritused
Jack Russell'i Terjerite Tõuühingul on tavaks saanud igal aastal korraldada tervise-, uru- ja kevadpäev. Samuti organiseeritakse vastavalt vajadusele ja huvile muid ettevõtmisi - aastate jooksul on toimunud üks erinäitus ja kaks mitteametliku club show'd, erinevad koolitused ning ühised jalutuskäigud. Iga aasta alguses võetakse üldkoosolekul kokku eelnev aasta ning planeeritakse uut. Samuti autasustatakse üldkoosolekul traditsiooniliselt aasta JRT konkursi parimaid.
Juba olnud üritused:
2013. aasta EJRTÜ tervisepäev toimus 10.novembril ja selles osales kokku 22 russellit. Kõik silma- ja põlveuuringu läbinud koerad said ametliku hinnangu, mis kantakse ka Eesti Kennelliidu registrisse.

16. juunil 2013 toimus Tallinnas Eesti teine Jack Russell'i terjerite erinäitus. Kuna pea kõik olid valmistunud vihmaks, siis seda meeldivam oli tõdeda, et üle poole näitusest möödus täiesti kuivalt ja isegi osaliselt päikesepaistel. Vaid need kõige parimad said auhindadele lisaks pärjatud ka vihmasajuga.
Täname kohtunik Vesa Lehtoneni, ringikorraldajaid Eve Roossaart ja Helena Kruusi, veterinaar Inessa Zaitseva´t ning sponsoreid, kelleks olid Specific ja Küpsis, samuti Nõmme Gümnaasiumi, kes meid lahkelt oma kooli territooriumile lubas. Very similar group with two different combinations, same heads and proportions, they are all nicely angulated and nicely on the legs. Congratulations!
KEVADPÄEV
Suvekuumas Kangru külas toimus 19. mail järjekordne EJRTÜ kevadpäev, millest võttis osa 41 kiiret ja osavat russellit. Kutsikaid esindas kevadpäeval Nööp ning veterane Eevi, Asta ja Velda. Juuniorisastest olid kohal Chief, Fredi, Jakky, John ja Luka ning juunioremastest Belle ja Dako. Täiskasvanud isaseid esindasid Aadu, Benno, Enno, Frank, Hugo, James, Klots, 2 x Kusti, Küpsis, Ruudi ja Tinnu. Nagu ikka oli kõige rohkem täiskasvanud emaseid russeleid: Clara, Ert, Ester, Fannu, Fibi, Kreisi, Lili Marlen, Marta, Minni, Piff, Pippa, Pita, Rutt, Sessi, Sienna, Silvi ja Trista.
Sel aastal võeti mõõtu kolmel alal – nagu ikka oli tähtsaimaks alaks “jänesejooks”, kuid lisaks sellele sai võistelda ka mäkkejooksus ja viskevõistlusel.

Viskevõistluses tegid teistele silmad ette isaste täiskasvanute parimad – Enno ja Ruudi püüdsid viineri kinni 5 meetri joone tagant. Täiskasvanud emaste parimad said õhust viineri püüdmisega hakkama 4 meetri joone tagant ning sellise tulemuse sai kirja lausa kolm koera – Fibi, Kreisi ja Pippa. Isaste juuniorite seas oli parim viineripüüdja Luka, emaste juuniorite seas Belle ning emaste veteranide seas Asta.
Täname kõiki neid, kes kohale tulid ja toreda päeva loomisele kaasa aitasid. Samuti täname auhindade sponsorit Royal Canini, kes mõtles neljajalgsete maitsvale toidulauale ning supisponsorit Peetri Lõheäri, kes mõtles kahejalgsete maitsavale kõhutäitele. VEREJÄLJE KOOLITUS
12. mail toimus Viimsis Tädu matkaraja juures EJRTÜ verejälje koolitus, kus osales 10 russellit. Koolitajaks oli Mari-Ann Rehk.
Alustuseks rääkis Mari-Ann verejäljest üldiselt, tutvustas uusi eeskirju ning jagas soovitusi-nõuandeid, kuidas käituda eksamil. Seejärel anti koertele nuusutada põdraverega immutatud nuustikut, mis neis küll erilist elevust ei põhjustanud.
Järgnes paugukatse stardipüstolist, mille ajaks seoti koerad puude külge kinni ning omanikud pugesid peitu.
Pauk tekitas rohkem elevust kui verenuustik, kuid ükski russell kartusest saba jalge vahele ei tõmmanud.
Siis mindi ükshaaval jäljele.
Jälgi oli üles pandud sama palju kui koeri, st igale russellile oma verejälje rada, mis viis lõpuks saagini, milleks oli seekord põdrakõrv. Iga koer suhtus saaki veidi erinevalt - kes nuusutas tagasihoidlikumalt, kes haukus, kes raputas saaki raevukalt, kes tegi neid kõike koos.
Nagu eelmiselgi korral jäi koolitaja Mari-Ann russellitega väga rahule ja soovitas teine kordki temaga ühendust võtta ja verejälge proovima minna. Veel andis ta terjeriinimestele hea idee – katsetada oma russellitega metssigade aedikut.

ÜLDKOOSOLEK 2012
10. veebruaril 2013 toimus EKL ruumides EJRTÜ üldkoosolek. Üldkoosolekul oli esindatud 34 ühingu liiget, neist 14 volitustega. Üldkoosolekul said kinnitatud majandusaasta aruanne, valiti uus juhatuse koosseis, vaadati tagasi eelmisele aastale ja planeeriti uut, moodustati ühingu kasvatajaeetika reeglite loomise töögrupp ning loomulikult said autasustatud aasta JRT konkursi parimad.
